Who is behind Buy it Sell it Want it?
My name is George Murphy. I was a time served butcher from Glasgow before I moved into sales with various ingredient and packaging companies. I sold everything from glazes to thermoforming machines to all sizes of businesses from butchers shops to large multiples.
I came up with the idea of this website on my visits to customers all over the UK, where on many occasions I came across people just like you, wanting to sell equipment or packaging products which they no longer needed.
So I decided to set up this website to help my customers and fellow food-industry colleagues to save money on the capital costs of food machinery and equipment, and reach more of other people in the trade to sell or buy their unwanted goods.
Why charge to use the website?
It has taken a lot of money and effort to set up this site, and twinned with the constant advertising costs required to promote the site, which helps to highlight your requirements or what you are selling, this has to be paid for.
However, it is still a fraction of the cost of advertising in trade magazines, or selling in auctions. Remember, equipment remains on the site for 3 months, or until sold. You don't get that with a trade paper or auction house.
Please let me assure you, I will endeavour to make sure you are looked after properly, and any issues or suggestions you may have with this site are dealt with personally by myself by emailing me at admin@buyitsellitwantit.co.uk.
